“Tales of Beedle the Bard” Sold at Auction
JKR’s Tales of Beedle the Bard has sold at auction for two million pounds ($3.98 million). The buyer? Amazon.com. They will be taking the book on tour to various libraries and schools so people can see portions of it.
For those who don’t already know, the book is one of seven in existence, hand-lettered and illuminated by J.K. Rowling. The remaining six have been given to “people instrumental to Harry since his inception.” The proceeds of the publicly sold copy will go to charity.
