Matt Lewis (who plays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films) recently stated that filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would start in February 2009. He is also of the opinion that it will probably be a two-part movie, though the producers have yet to confirm this.
According to J.K. Rowling’s website, today, March 1st, is Ron Weasley’s birthday.

Today is both James and Oliver Phelps’ 22nd birthday. In case you didn’t know, the Phelps twins play Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films. Hopefully they will be in he sixth film!

Dan Radcliffe said at the BAFTA awards “I have no idea how that rumour started or where it came from. It’s not true. How’s that for a definitive answer? It’s absolute rubbish that Spielberg is directing the final film. It’s not true. There’s absolutely no foundation in that at all.”
As stated earlier, no director is being considered yet.
Filming for the film adaptation of the seventh Harry Potter book will start in February next year. David Heyman and David Barron confirm that a two-part film is still a possibility, though nothing has been decided. No director has been chosen yet either, as the deadline is still a year away. The sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is still in production and will be released this November, on the twenty-first.

Of course, Warner Brothers hasn’t confirmed or denied this rumor yet. It would be cool though.

Film review site Rotten Tomatoes has posted their 9th annual Golden Tomato Awards, their list of “the best-reviewed movies of the year” (2007). Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is listed as the winner for the Sci-Fi and Fantasy category.
Note that this is currently a rumor, and had not been verified by Warner Brothers, or any other authority.
There has been talk of Deathly Hallows being a two-part movie, because of the book’s length, and the impossibility of fitting everything into a three-hour movie. There would also be financial benefits to the approach… about 500 million pounds in ticket sales.
Also, the movie could be directed by Steven Spielberg, who had considered directing the first of the ‘Potter films.

Earlier this evening, the UK television station ITV aired their documentary of J.K. Rowling, which the author of the Harry Potter series has spoken highly of in her recent interview with PotterCast. Now that the documentary has aired, it is available online for everyone to see. According to the description next to the video, JKR reveals what she plans on writing next.
