Philosopher’s Stone First Edition Sells For Record Price

There were very few copies printed in the first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Most of them were bought by libraries, and, as you can guess, they’re worth quite a lot now. I hope those libraries are keeping close watch on those first editions (put them in reference, or lock them up!) because the new record price (at auction) for a first edition is…19,700 pounds ($40,420).
