The HorcruxesWritten by Redwall_hpTime for the most debated Harry Potter subject -- horcruxes! In this article I will clear up common misunderstandings, point out my views, and possibly confuse you even more :-). First of all, there are only three or four horcruxes left. The diary was destroyed in Chamber of Secrets. Marvollo's ring was destroyed by Dumbledore (who is alive by the way) in HBP. Don't forget the locket! It was found and most likely destroyed by R.A.B.. Then there is a part of Voldy's soul in his regenerated body. The locket is particlularly annoying. R.A.B. (whom I'm writing an article about) took it. Unfortunately, no one except JKR knows whether or not he destroyed it. If he did, there are only three horcruxes remaining. If he didn't, it could be anywhere (but I have a few good guesses!). We know that Riddle wanted objects with a powerful magical history for the horcruxes. Having secured Slytherin's locket, he'd naturally try to get something of the other founders'. Most likely he didn't get all four, but he definitely got two of the objects, possibly three. He seems to have Hufflepuff's cup. After all, why else would have he stolen it from Hepzibah Smith? It is my belief that he managed to get his hands on something of Gryffindor's. I think he found something of extremely high historical value. I think he found Godric Gryffindor's wand. I think he could have found something belonging to Ravenclaw as well. What is it? I have absolutely no idea. As for Gryffindor's wand though, I think there's a good chance I'm right. After all, what could be more historically important than Gryffindor's wand? Well, that's everything! Please excuse any mistakes. This is a very confusing topic. If you have any corrections, let me know. |
